Lollipop chainsaw ending10/19/2023 While the loads aren't egregious in length, their timing is bewildering. As soon as you do the last hit point of damage to them it immediately pops you into a 20 second loading screen before popping you out into their death cutscene. A loading screen follows the death of every single boss in the game. The loading screens in this game seem to come at the most awkward times and it leads to a very disorienting presentation. Nothing about playing this game felt fun at all. Every attempt at variants in gameplay, such as the arcade mini games or the tractor, vary from completely uninteresting, uninspired, and not fleshed out, to grating and awful. Fighting with the chainsaw feels incredibly sluggish and I never felt like I had a grasp on fighting well. Despite coming out nearly a decade after God of War and Devil May Cry, Lollipop Chainsaw learns no lessons on how to make arcade style combat feel fun, fresh, or tight. But if you look up this game's skirt, you'll see that punk's still not dead. Lollipop Chainsaw has been Grasshopper Manufacture's best selling game, proving once again that sex sells. (When James Euringer was willing to put his sanctifying touch on the experience, you know it's genuine.) While the moment-to-moment game design constantly vacillates between fairly terrible and incredibly ingenious, the raw verve only grows more impressive the deeper you go. The core concept is never lost and the wild boss fights will rock your world. But of all Suda51's games, Lollipop Chainsaw may very well capture his whole style-over-substance shtick the most endearingly. Yes, it's all more than a little gratuitous and low brow. Yes, you play the part of a scantily dressed cheerleader chainsawing tons of zombies to death. "So this is OneChanbara, Suda51 style 'eh?" But later in the game, as I scaled a skyscraper while Human League's "Empire State Human" played in the background, I realized there was more heart in this production than previously assumed. + Non-typical setting + Girls aesthetics + Crazy characters + Sexist humor + Great OST + Various minigames + Memorable boss fights - Stereotype hack and slash gameplay - Levels are just the set of rooms - Low quality animations - Unfair checkpoints for some bosses QTEĦh 30m PlayedWhen I first started playing Lollipop Chainsaw, I was very underwhelmed. I would not call this game a must buy titile, but remaster could be interesting and likely will cause a disturbance in modern gaming society. So we do have a game with not so perfect mechanics, but developers done a pretty good work on mixing different minigames, so overall Lollipop Chainsaw lefts a very good impression. So you don't have time to get tired from simply and dull mechanics. Also Lollipop Chainsaw is not a long game, it can be completed on 6 hours. ![]() Sowhere in a middle you will get a long range weapon, which is good against floating enemies. ![]() You will need to jump on zombie heads or play basketball. You need to hack and slash zombies only 5-10 minutes, after this happens some minigame. The scenery feels like James Gunn's work. But japanese developers can make it work. It is hard to believe that that type of game can be released today. There are a lot of sexist jokes and insults against females. Everything is made in bright colors, all dialogues are about relationships, new clothes and other girl's dreamings. The game has really interesting visual decisions. You can buy new combos for your cheerleader, and that leads to adjustings in combat system. You won't see these boss fights in any other game. The head of boyfriend sounds all player's thoughts about everything in the story. But during my progression i started to like Lollipop more and more. Also level structure here is very dumb, you just cleaning room after room. I noticed this when observing animations. I was kind of sad, because it was obvious that game has low budget. I knew all the main detals before game launch - blonde cheerleader girl in short skirt against the zombies with chainsaw, ripped off boyfriend head which can talk, etc. 6h PlayedInitially i didn't like the Lollipop Chainsaw much after completing the prologue.
